Terms and Conditions
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you use this website or order a print from proto0. By placing an order, you agree to them.
1. What we do
proto0 is a 3D printing service in Malaysia. You upload your own model, we give you a price, and we print it in PLA plastic.
2. Prices
- Prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are calculated from the weight and print time our slicing software reports for your model.
- A minimum price applies, and it is shown with your quote.
- A quote is valid for 24 hours. We may change our rates for new quotes at any time.
- If we find an obvious error, or a model needs different settings to print properly, we will tell you the new price before printing. You can then accept it or cancel at no cost.
3. Orders and payment
- Your order is a request. A contract starts only when we confirm it with you by WhatsApp or phone.
- Nothing is charged on this website. We arrange payment with you directly, and printing starts after that.
- We may refuse an order, for example if a model cannot be printed safely or breaks section 5. If you have already paid, we will refund you in full.
4. Collection and delivery
We agree collection or delivery with you when we confirm your order, including any delivery cost. Times are estimates. The printing time we show does not include time in the queue.
5. Your files
- You must own the model or have permission to print it. You stay the owner of your files.
- You let us use your files only to quote, print and support your order.
- You must not order anything illegal, including weapons or weapon parts, items that infringe someone else's rights, or anything that breaks Malaysian law.
- You are responsible for any claim that arises because you did not have the right to print a model.
6. Quality and limits of 3D prints
- 3D prints show layer lines and small marks where supports were removed. Small differences in size, colour and finish are normal.
- The quality of a print depends on the model you supply. We are not responsible for mistakes in your design.
- PLA softens with heat, from about 50 °C, for example inside a parked car.
- Our prints are not tested or approved for food contact, medical use, safety-critical parts, toys for young children, or anything where failure could cause injury. If you use a print for these purposes, you do so at your own risk.
7. Cancellations and refunds
- You can cancel free of charge before printing starts.
- Each print is made to order, so we cannot accept a cancellation or refund for a change of mind once printing has started.
- If your print is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, tell us within 7 days of receiving it with a photo. We will reprint it or refund you.
- Nothing in these terms removes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or other Malaysian law.
8. Liability
As far as the law allows, our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit. We do not limit liability where the law does not allow us to.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your name, phone number and files.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to it. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the Malaysian courts have jurisdiction.
11. Contact
For anything about your order or these terms, reply on the WhatsApp or phone number we contacted you from.
